E-3120 Ultrasnonic anemometer

The FT Technologies wind sensor combines both wind speed and direction measument in one unit without any moving parts providing accurate, reliable data.

Our sensors are designed for direct, plug-and-play replacement of the existing anemometer, ensuring no disruption to Power Curve readings and safe operation of the wind turbine.

No moving parts required

This unique sensor technology delivers exceptional performance, requiring zero maintenance or periodic calibration.

Acoustic resonance measurement system

FT Technologies patented Acu-Res® technology measures wind by resonating an ultrasonic wave inside a small cavity. This unique design delivers a signal-to-noise ratio over 40dB stronger than standard ultrasonic sensors. By focusing the signal this way, FT Technologies sensors deliver unmatched reliability and accuracy in the harshest environments.

Extreme durability

Engineered to survive the harshest environments, from heavy icing(incorporating body heating) to corrosive sea air (Corrosion Class C5M).

"Our Endurance E-3120 wind turbine experienced premature rotor failure after refurbishment (less than 2 years). Fortunately, NorZet, whos founders were part of the design team of the well-regarded Earthmill/Britwind bedplate and shaft upgrade for the E-3120, offered their New Rotor prototype testing on our wind turbine. We are very pleased with the results: improved reliability, increased generation, and the inclusion of tip brakes for enhanced storm protection. We highly recommend NorZet's professionalism and expertise."
